Η DotEmu και η Lizardcube δημοσίευσαν το launch trailer για το remake του θρυλικού Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, το οποίο είναι πλέον διαθέσιμο για PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch και Xbox One, με την έκδοση για PC να αναμένεται σε μερικές εβδομάδες.

Η Lizardcube πήρε την άδεια από τη Sega ώστε να δημιουργήσει το remake του Wonder Boy III, το οποίο είχε κυκλοφορήσει το 1989. Το publishing του τίτλου έχει αναλάβει η DotEmu, ενώ σε όλο το εγχείρημα συμμετέχει και ο δημιουργός της σειράς «Wonder Boy», Ryuichi Nishizawa.
Στην περιπέτειά μας αναλαμβάνουμε το ρόλο του Wonder Boy, ο οποίος μεταμορφώνεται σε διάφορα πλάσματα εξαιτίας μιας κατάρας. Στην προσπάθειά του να βρει θεραπεία θα μεταμορφωθεί σε σαύρα, ποντίκι, γεράκι, λιοντάρι και πιράνχα.
Σημειώνεται πως το «Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap» δεν συνδέεται με τον πνευματικό διάδοχο της σειράς, «Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom», το οποίο ανάλαβε να αναπτύξει ο Ryuichi Nishizawa σε συνεργασία με την Game Atelier USA.
